Our clinicians and therapy trainees offer a variety of support groups for clients interested in learning new skills, exploring specific aspects of mental health, and finding connection with other community members dealing with similar circumstances

Trans Femme Support Group

Age range: 18+

Facilitated by: Alice Mount

Topic: 8-week processing group geared towards adults (18+) who identity as trans femme and trans women. We will use this space primarily to meet and connect with other trans femmes, to process current events, and to share ideas, strengths, and compassion.

Mondays, 6:00-7:15pm

Dates: 2/17, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31, 4/7

Location: Virtual

LGBTQ+ BIPOC Support Group

For queer people of color ages 18+

Facilitated by: Claudia Zavala, MHC-LP

Topics: This 8-week virtual processing group for LGBTQ+ People of Color provides an affirming space to explore identity, intersectionality, and healing. We will use trauma-informed and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy frameworks to make room for processing distress and promoting strengths and healing.

Mondays, 6-7:15 p.m

Immigrant Support Group

Age Range: 18+

Facilitated by: Claudia Zavala, MHC-LP

Topic: This virtual group is for adult immigrants or adult children of immigrants. The group will provide a safe space to build solidarity and community and process anxiety related to current events or immigration stress in general. Participants will gain emotional support, practical resources, and resilience to navigate this climate.

Wednesdays, 8-9:15pm

Managing Intrusive Thoughts

A closed 10-week skill-building and support group for adults with OCD

Facilitated by: Birtu Belete, LMSW & Zohar Fuller, LMSW

Topics: Learn evidence-based strategies to help manage intrusive thoughts; practice mindfulness; strengthen distress tolerance and emotion regulation skills; gain community by sharing experiences around OCD; support one another in navigating challenges

Wednesdays, 6-7:15pm

Self-care & Activism for T/GNC Youth

Ages: 14-18

Facilitated by: Vera Cohen, LMSW & Zohar Fuller, LMSW

Topic: This support group is a space for Trans, Non-Binary, Gender-Expansive, and Gender-Questioning youth to come together, share concerns, build community, and support one another. This support group will also include civic engagement.

Fridays, 4:00-5:15pm

LGBTQIA+ DBT Skills Group

Age range: 18+

Topic: This group is geared towards individuals who are looking for DBT skills training in a gender and sexuality-affirming + supportive environment. 

Tuesdays, 5:45-7 p.m.
